Gone are the days when a blazer or a coat is every one’s staple piece of clothing. As time went on, people grew to be more comfortable wearing their casual pieces. Of course people would still choose to dress appropriately, but if they had the chance to dress down, they would. Another notable change in people’s wardrobe is that the number of people wearing coats and blazers has gone down. Before, men and women would always bring these pieces around with them. But today, they just wear these pieces when it is extremely cold. Younger people would even skip the blazer and opt for something lighter and easier to move in – a track jacket.

Ribbed cuffs and waist bands would be the key characteristics of a track jacket. Many people would remember these jackets are sporting clothes. In fact, they were first intended for people who jog or walk for their exercise. People also wore track jackets to the gym when working out. However, the time came when these sporty pieces became stylish pieces. Many would credit this to the hip hop culture that featured the Track Jacket and the so-called “bling bling” that they adorned it with. There are still many people who prefer the traditional coats. They still find it more appropriate to wear especially when going out of the house. However, the younger people today find the track jacket a more comfortable option. The main goal of these jackets is to allow free movement to the people wearing them feel no restrictions that may usually come with coats. The fit of these jackets are almost universal. Unlike in tailored coats, small changes in the body size will have little effect to the fit of the top. You can still feel comfortable and look perky while wearing your very own track jacket.
